Silver Creek Wetland: Our Vision for the Future
Collingwood Town Council – Monday, September 16 – 5:00 PM

For 20 years, the Watershed Trust has been reacting to proposals for development in the Silver Creek Wetland area. We expected that some time in the future, the Town of Collingwood would own parts of the Wetland for the benefit of all. This did not happen when the development of 80 Madeline Drive was approved by the Town.

The Watershed Trust’s “Vision” is based on accumulating the undevelopable portions of the Wetland in conservationist hands when applications for development are made.

Watershed Trust Board member Don Kerr has worked very hard on the development of a plan to conserve the Silver Creek Wetland. He will be presenting this plan to Collingwood Town Council on Monday, September 16 at 5:00 PM in Council chambers on the 2nd floor at 97 Hurontario Street (under the clock tower).

Your support at this meeting is important! Please come out to the meeting.

Norm Wingrove, President.
